The $1.2 billion Perth Children’s Hospital is located on the QEII Medical Centre site in Nedlands and will replace Princess Margaret Hospital and provide specialty paediatric medical treatment including inpatient and outpatient care.
Due to our early involvement on the QEII CEP commissioning our immediate role was to begin the BSRIA flushing of the chilled, heating and critical to life water systems on this site. The project was a complex task from day one working with local water authorities to manage discharge rates and chemical composition to sewer at very restricted rates and concentrations. Our role then changed to pressure testing of large ductwork on pre-fabricated risers offsite.
Flowtech NATA certified cleanroom performance testing division then took over the reins to manage and validate the operating theatres and clinical support areas. As per pervious projects our expertise was required in other field such as essential services testing and general testing and balancing of the mechanical services systems.
